Hello, fellow deviantart browsers and artists.

This will be my last journal entry, as i intend shortly to leave the community.  I would like to remind you all of the fact that i have loved everyone of you who have supported me, faved my art or watched for new pieces, these we're all, truly kind gestures and much appreciated and helpful in the evolution of my art education/interpretation.

Please allow me to remind you all also, that the internet's first and only Aaliyah Haughton (here for more information on who this is: www.aaliyah.com) art community was founded here on this very website and continues and will continue to be a strong, prominent and important part of the online Aaliyah community, and honor her memory.  It can be found here: aaliyah-babygirl or the official website: aaliyahbabygirl.free.fr.

Lastly, i call any of you who would like to talk, to do so.  This is the last chance as i will be closing my page shortly, if you have any questions, need help, are intrigued, or anything else for that matter then please come forth, i wont bite.

Take care and stay safe this christmas,
MISET.

Additional Note
I realise that it isn't possible the fully close a DeviantArt account, therefore all that i can do is empty my gallery.  Please note that sending notes or leaving messages is useless as i will not be logging in again.  Thankyou.

Well, this weekend i went to see the 'Destiny Fulfilled.. And Lovin' It' tour in Paris.  I can honestly say, i see why now everyone makes such a big deal of these girls plain raw talent and beyoncés powerful and emotional singing.  Destiny's Child performed together and also apart the three girls sang solos, and literally SHOOK the stadium.  Everything from the lights and the dancing to the costumes and video montages was of such a high standard i am still in awe of the whole event and have been converted to a mega-fan.  If you think these girls have crap vocals i suggest you book a place for a live event, i guarantee you you will be rocked by these AWESOME women.  AWESOME show.  AWESOME programme (very nice photos, costume sketches, video captions, red carpet pictures and lots more).

Thanks so much to Melissa for having made the whole experience possible..  you're my Girl!

Miset.

P.S -- Expect some DC art to come out over the next few months.. :)

Lets think about it.  What does freedom mean for you?  Is freedom, going out on the weekend, breaking a curfew?  Is freedom, wearing your hair green and standing proud or maybe freedom is to walk through the black side of town when you come from the white side.  For me freedom is being in control of myself and my life, and for me freedom is feeling beautiful even when i'm down.  I like freedom.  It can be found in alot of places in todays society, things that weren't happening 50 years ago are now normal practice and we have great minds, open minds, to thank for that.  Unfortunately however there are still alot of chains binding the people of today, and the people of the future.  There are still closed minded people who don't like and wont take change.  I think we all like freedom, maybe these latter people just haven't experienced it yet.  I believe freedom of expression is an important kind, and freedom of movement another.  Freedom of speech, thought, action, belief, movement, expression, if we weren't free to express our feelings to our loved ones, or to paint on a canvas, or to talk to thy neighbour, or to hang a cross on our wall, our world would be one without freedom.  I can't imagine it.  And yet we do live in that world, why is it that a white kid living in the bronx walking into a breakdancing class will be laughed at.  Why is it that a female engineer is less likely to get the job even if she is more qualified than her male counterpart.  She works in a mans world, and whats one of those anyway?

So freedom is everywhere and freedom is nowhere, and what are you doing about it?  Probably nothing.  I know i'm not.  But that's about to change.

Please note i do not have the featured homs in my journal anymore because i was thanked by around 3 people for having featured them and i refuse to promote people through my page who are so arrogant they cannot take the time to post 'thanks for your journal entry' on my page.  Thankyou for your understanding.

Things that are important to me:

My Aaliyah Community - founded by yours truly and the only one on dA.  Lets face it, she deserves it.

This kicks ass, quite simply.

Cant think of anything else at this time.  Thanks for reading this far.  Go grab your freedom with your two hands.
